On Sunday, May 23 the church voted 95.7% to call Pastor Kenneth Kidd to serve as Pastor of our church.
Pastor Kidd comes to us from the First Baptist Church of Logan, Ohio where is has served on the staff there since 1996. He came to the church initially as a youth minister and in 2003 was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of the church. Pastor Kidd has been married to his wife, Melissa, for almost 12 years. The are the parents of David (age 7), Anna (age 4) and Jonathan (age 2). They are both native of Ohio. Melissa is actively involved in the ministry of the church as a pianist, vocalist and Awana leader. She also involved in the community through the Community Senior Center. She has also published a children’s story.
Pastor will be on the field sometime in mid to late July. More information will be available in next month’s newsletter. The Search Committee will keep us up-to-date on events that will be happening in regards to them moving. They will also be sharing with us events planned to welcome them to our church.
